From New York to Boston

This Super Bowl XLII matchup between the New England Patriots of Foxboro(ugh) MA and the New York Giants of East Rutherford NJ raises a lot of questions. Here are some of them.

  1. Will the Patriots be able to wrap up their 19-0 perfect season?
  2. Will Eli Manning take the Giants to the promised land?
  3. Who cares? How many days until pitchers and catchers report?
My answers to these questions are (1)Yes, (2)No, and (3)24.

1. I honestly don't know. As a Pats fan, this team never ceases to scare the crap out of me. Tom Brady seems to thrive on coming from behind. (See their previous Super Bowl wins, and their victories this year over the Colts, Eagles, Ravens, and Super Bowl Giants.) They truly sucked this past weekend, and still won.

2. He certainly seems to be capable. Judging by their last match-up, at the end of the season, the NY Giants would appear to be the NFC team most capable of challenging these mighty (?) Pats.

3. Um, as a Pats and Mets fan, I'm less interested in MLB than NFL questions at the moment.

How bout that Giants-Packers game? That was one for the ages, if you ask me...
