Bowie sings about another neglected day of the week.
"This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays."
And here ends my March without a theme.

Sunday On My Mind
RIP John Doukas, lead singer of Earth Quake
(the Easybeats of the East Bay).
Earth Quake was Jonathan Richman's backing band on "Roadrunner (Once)",
my favorite version of one ofthe best my favorite songs ever.

When Black Friday falls
Apparently, I've missed the entire Rebecca Black phenomenon, even though it's almost one week old, and her fifteen minutes is at 14:45 and counting.
Happy Friday! Tomorrow is Saturday. And Sunday comes afterwards.

Thursday Week
And the "best Irish(*) band starting with the letter U" award goes to..
(*) technically these guys were from NORTHERN Ireland, but whatever.
Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Summer Time
In other parts of the world, they call DST "Summer Time", and no matter when it happens, the changing of the clocks signifies the start of Summer.

Jiving on down to the beach
I'd completely forgotten about the Gigolo Aunts until I watched "Dumb And Dumber" a while back, and was blown away by this song, which I actually owned, but had forgotten about. That's where I find my heaven.

That Someone Is You
After two listens, this is my favorite song on Collapse Into Now.
And with the fury lock of Sharon Stone Casino
Scarface, Al Pacino '74 Torino
Waiting for someone else to make the first move
Someone has to make the first move

Fat Loose Fancies Me
One of my favorite obscure albums from the early 90s is Denzil's Pub, which I purchased mostly because of the beer on the cover.
Here's the video for the leadoff track "Fat Loose Fancies Me"

March's fool
I was listening to Cotton Mather's 1992 Crafty Flower Arranger demo today (which might be found here), and now I have this song stuck in my head (one month early)
This album (Cotton Is King) is selling on amazon for $183.39!
I own two copies of this disc, so I should probably sell my extra one before someone decides to reissue it. I'll sell mine for $183.38 (or best offer)!

Can you.. imagine what the people say?
For Robyn Hitchcock's birthday, here he is on CNBC, with the Egyptians, performing "So You Think You're In Love" (which still sounds like a hit)

Cover
I still haven't decided on a blog theme for March, but I'm gearing toward "the Nineties", as in songs from that decade, probably broken into some form or other. First up is "Cover" by the Lilac Time, from 1990's & Love For All.
This was the b-side to "It'll End In Tears", which UMG won't let me embed. Bastards.
